This initiative requires support from the entire community, in order to promote the artist application, book venues for the artist workshops and live show, and cover overhead expenses for the entire operation.

For our first campaign, we are focusing on SF Bay Area hip-hop/rap musicians. On July 15th, 2019 we will launch our artist application through Facebook, Instagram and through channels of our partners including Hip Hop For Change, BlncdBrkfst, Music City SF, and others to reach as many Bay Area musicians as possible.

The application will be open for 1 month before moving on to the selection process. By August 31st, 9 artists will be selected to participate in our curriculum and workshop, which provides musicians with a team and supportive structure where they will be coached by our soon to be announced specialists and be exposed to opportunities to develop their craft, create high quality content, and to perform. In late October, these musicians will perform at a large local venue (TBD) before the local community and earn a cut of the revenue generated from the event.

We wish to garner enough support to repeat this initiative at least twice per year, across different genres of music, for different local communities, so that as many Bay Area musicians as possible can have access to this opportunity.

Donations of all sizes welcome. Donations of $20 or more are eligible for special kickbacks including:

• $20: Name of donor will be projected on the Homegrown Hustle website on our Supporters page
• $50: All benefits above plus, receive signed photograph of artists participating in the first program
• $100: All benefits above plus, receive free admission to all events preceding the Grand Show at Legionnaire, plus receive 2 tickets to the Grand Show at Legionnaire and meet & greet the artists before the show
